Botanical tattoos have been all the rage lately – and we’re all for it!  Nature has been a huge inspiration in all kinds of art since.. forever, and the cool part about botanical tattoos is that most likely your tattoo won’t look like anybody’s else. Why?  Artists like @rit.kit.tattoo  and @pissaro_tattoo use actual flowers, leaves and herbs for the stencil, dipping them in stencil ink before placing them on the skin thus creating unique botanical prints that remain native and true to their original form.  Even if your artist does not use this method, the flora is so large and diverse, every flower even if in the same species doesn’t look the same. They’re also a great idea for tattoos as flowers, plants, herbs, fruits and leaves all have organic forms, thus they will adapt very easily to the body’s natural curves and shapes. People also assigned symbolic meaning to plants.  Although these are no longer commonly understood by populations that are increasingly divorced from their old rural traditions, some survive. In addition, these meanings are alluded to in older pictures, songs and writings.  So, in conclusion, you can choose a botanical tattoo for many many reasons, including their symbolism, aesthetic, or maybe the smell of a certain flower reminds you of something.. either way, botanical tattoos are awesome. Benedetto Bufalino is a French artist who plays with the perception of everyday objects by altering their original function. His best known projects include a Sedan-turned-jacuzzi, a police car converted into a chicken coop, and a cardboard faux-Ferrari. Recently, he lit up what might usually be a regular old construction scene in the streets of Lyon , France for several days by enchanting a cement mixer and transforming it into a disco ball. Thanks to Bufalino , now you can dance the night away! The spectacle apparently grabbed the attention of quite a few passersby who stopped to take photos and film the otherwise mundane work site that was transformed for a few hours each night. OSGEMEOS , translated as “ THETWINS ”, Gustavo and Otavio Pandolfo , have worked together since birth. As children growing up in the streets of the traditional district of Cambuci (SP), they developed a distinct way of playing and communicating through artistic language. Recognized and admired both nationally and internationally, the artists utilize this combined visual language, improvisation and a sense of playfulness to intuitively create a variety of projects worldwide. This past April, Pirelli HangarBicocca  enlisted Os Gemeos to conjure new artwork for its creative undertaking. The Brazilian street artist duo answered with a massive mural called Efêmero that was painted just outside of the building. The mural portrays a graffiti artist hanging onto to a subway train. Recently,  Sculpture by the Sea returns to the Bondi Beach to Tamarama Beach coastal walk. The coastal walk was transformed into a 2km long temporary sculpture park featuring over 100 sculptures by artists from Australia and across the world. Alessandra Rossi  is one of the artists who had their work exhibited on the beach. She was born in Friuli in northern Italy in 1968, but spent most of her formative years in Venice, in the company of a vibrant international artistic community. Titled Untitled (coral) , Rossi says the piece depicting a solitary young girl in a dress is inspired in part by the phenomenon of coral bleaching, something that occurs in nature when ocean water becomes too warm and coral begins to expel an algae giving it a white appearance. The sculpture’s translucent layered appearance changes dramatically when viewed from different angles during the day and at times almost vanishes against the horizon of Bondi beach. #AlessandraRossi #BondiBeach #Sculpture

Artez was born in Belgrade in 1988. He is a famous Serbian artist who combines photo-realism and pictures with an amazing ability to incorporate vivid colors in his works. He was invited in various festivals such as Sunburn and NH7 . Artez is  lately experimenting with colors and his new projects have to do with the perception of the individual, with optical illusions and distorting images. His constant interest for travelling and the fact that he gets inspired from the world has a rapid effect on his progress and evolution as well as on his style. This summer, he was invited to paint at two major events in Croatia. Having a passion for the female form, this is reflected in the murals he paints around the world. ” Sleep paralysis has been an ongoing occurrence for me ever since the age of 15 ,” explains the 21-years old American photographer Nicolas Bruno in an interview with Yatzer . ” I have experienced bone chilling hallucinations and extreme terror during these dreams: faceless silhouetted figures, embraces from shadow-like hands, the warping of reality around me – all the while being completely paralyzed in the midst of being awake and sleeping. ” Nicolas Bruno is a photographer who composes surreal scenes based on his experiences with sleep paralysis, a rare phenomenon that renders an individual immobilized in a hallucinatory state between dreams and awakening. Finding the connection between beauty and decay is a thread that runs through much of RONE ’s work. As a street artist best known for his haunting, stylised images of women’s faces, he understands better than most that beauty can be fleeting. These days, Rone ’s work is found as often in galleries as it is on the streets. His work has been acquisitioned by the National Gallery of Australia , commissioned by the National Gallery of Victoria to work with Jean Paul Gaultier and shown by galleries including Stolen Space and in London , White Walls in San Francisco , Urban Nation in Berlin , and Opera Gallery in New York .
