  • STMTS

STMTS is a young street artist, passionately creative and socially active being with big ideas. He created wonderful pieces of street art in Athens, Greece. He was beginning his work with a lengthy pre-planning process in the studio in which he makes repeated sketches of his subjects, he then takes the completed work to the street for pasting. Of his own motivations, the artist says: “I care about the social problems and more specifically about the kids and the new generations. The political circumstances affect all the problems of society, so they possibly also affect my work and inspiration.” Here is a beautiful selection of street Art created by STMTS in Athens: More photos: www.stmtsart.com Text: Diana Scorici #GRAFFITI #mural #STMTS #streetart

They have traveled and toured several times throughout Latin America, the United States, and Europe and are recognized internationally for their meaningful lyrics and unique musical fusions. As they declared ”We consider ourselves lucky to be able to live from our craft, but there is much more to us than writing and performing on stage. And this is what motivated us to start the project “Multiviralyzing Art”. “As artists, we believe in art’s potential to transform our surroundings, our communities and the world itself into a variety of mutable artistic spaces.” Over a dozen internationally famed artists, among these INTI, LINIERS, FINTAN MAGEE, and ALEXIS DÍAZ, has worked aside them, engaged in all sorts of art, giving the word Multiviral, the echo it needs. “Our objective is to open new spaces for artists around the world.  Through their artwork, whether it is renowned or not, we aim to redefine originality and find the inspiration and motivation to continue creating.” THE MAKING of the pieces is an upcoming project, here you can watch the contouring of the creative mind. “Our wish is to encourage artists to create live installations that can pop up anywhere, any day, at any time, always in flux, and inspire and stimulate the creation of new art experiences.” , declared the band. • Herakut

You previously saw here the artwork of Herakut and we are excited to show you more images of their recent project in Istanbul, Turkey. The German duo (Hera + Akut) was invited to take part in the Language of Wall , a group exhibition that reunites over 20 artists and that is undergoing at Pera Museum. Their contribution to the exhibition was an indoors installation and a mural entitled “Imagine we had to teach our children never to laugh again”. The strong messages are something recurring in their art and they convey it through striking images and impressive characters that pierce you with their eyes. They managed to add energy to this mural by contrasting the dark background with the red clothes of the woman in the painting. For more of this project scroll down and visit their website for more great art. If you happen to pass by Istanbul the exhibition is opened until October 5th.
