  • Hopare

“Hopare” is Alexandre Monteiro, a graffiti artist and painter from France. Hopare’s work is extraordinary; he creates emotive movement in his art works by including abstract shapes and fluid lines to create a sense that color is exploding out from the painting or moving from one point to another within the design. Hopare paints “a Blast From the East” in Gdynia, Poland. Hopare recently travelled to the city of Gdynia in Poland where he was invited by Traffic Design to open his first exhibition in Eastern Europe. After working on his body of work for the opening, Hopare was given the opportunity to do his magic and beautify the streets of Gdynia. Check out the additional full images that are waiting below: Watch Hopare create a stunningly beautiful street art portrait in this video. • Kobra

Stockholm is famous for the unconventional art galleries and the city of Boras is no exception with this outdoor gallery available for artists all over the world. No Limit Boras Festival is an art event that offers more than 10 walls to artists and cool happenings for all those participating. Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra is taking part in the No Limit Boras Festival in Sweden (4- 7th September 2014). For those who are not familiar with his work, he is an amazing artist, whose art will take you back in a kaleidoscope. Probably most of us used kaleidoscopes when we were children and this is why we love what he is doing with the bright colors, the bold lines and the intense images created. He conveys on walls personalities and brings them back to life creating a beautiful contrast between his murals and the places they are set in. He is creating beautiful photorealistic images that also represent everyday characters, not only personalities of the past. At No Limit Boras Festival Kobra dedicated several days to create the huge portrait of Alfred Nobel and you are invited to check out below this stunning piece of art as well as more of his work on his website . • Zaria Forman

Artist Zaria Forman is using pastel to recreate the pictures taken by her mother years ago in remote places. For many of us today, her childhood seems a perfect one, travelling with her family in spectacular places where her mother was taking photos every summer. Her work might seem surreal if you think that everything is handmade, each detail, shadow and color is carefully chosen. She talks with much love about her art and she wants to make a difference in the world, even though she admits her pastel drawings won’t solve the global warming problem. She is not only using pictures to inspire her art but she says that it helps a lot participating herself in changes of light and weather. Just take a look and be surprised by this realistic art representing icebergs, storms, oceans and seas.   Text: Diana Porumboiu #ZariaForman #Icebergs #Illustration #PAINTINGS #PastelWaves

  • SR. X

For a while now art came out on the street, accessible to anyone walking on streets in New York, Los Angeles, London and other big cities around the world. It has been said that streets are now used by art school graduates to promote their work, but who can really know the truth behind the walls. The Spanish street artist Sr. X came to paint walls by accident. He did a spray-painting one night at a party and discovered that he can do more and more. Since not all of his work remains on the streets, due to different regulations, photos of his art can be seen on his website where they become everlasting. For Sr. X, just like for many other artists, this has become for him a means of communication and expression.  Through his work he is protesting, this is his revolution against leaders worldwide, but especially against Spanish leaders. You can see paintings with strong messages conveyed in vivid and realistic images. Text: Diana Porumboiu #GRAFFITI #Murals #SRX #streetartist
